The weekend of September 30-October 2, 2022, Troop 148 will travel over to Cincinnati, OH for the Dan Beard Council’s Peterloon Camporee, the longest continuously operating camporee in the history of Scouting! This large-scale bi-annual encampment, calls all Scouts to the banks of the Little Miami River to participate in a fun-filled weekend of scouting traditions, patrol competitions, hands on experiences, and plenty of outdoor fun! The first Peterloon Camporee took place in 1927 at Peterloon Farm, which belonged to the prominent Emery family of Cincinnati. Since 1965, the camporee has been held at Camp Craig the Scout Reservation of the Dan Beard Council.
