Summer Camp 2025
June 15–21, 2025, Troop 148 had an unforgettable week during Maumee Scout Reservation‘s Week 3 of Summer Camp! Nestled in the beautiful hills of southern Indiana, MSR has served as a cherished destination for Scouts for more than 50 years, and this year was no exception.
Despite some soggy weather (which at least kept everyone clean!), the Scouts made the most of every moment. The week was packed with adventure, learning, and camaraderie. Whether they were earning merit badges, braving the climbing wall, paddling across the lake, or cheering each other on at the archery range, every Scout stepped up and did something amazing in their own way. We couldn’t be prouder of Troop 148!
Highlights from the week included:
Kieran earned his Scout rank and is well on his way to Tenderfoot.
Ben passed his Life rank board of review and is now officially on the Trail to Eagle!
Peter, Noah, Preston, and Ben were all tapped for Order of the Arrow, Scouting’s National Honor Society.
Daniel was crowned camp rock-paper-scissors champion, proving that sometimes quick thinking and a bit of luck go a long way!
Special thanks to Camp Director Marni Dickson Karaffa and the amazing MSR staff for making the week so memorable. From camp-wide games and evening campfires to new friendships forged with Scouts from around the region, this week was full of growth, laughter, and lifelong memories.
As camp came to a close, our hearts were full, our feet were tired, and we all left with a renewed love for the Scouting spirit. See you next year at Maumee!
